More Than Junk Removal: Meet Kevin Hess

Survivor Junk Removal isn’t just a name, it’s a story.

I started this company after facing one of life’s toughest battles: cancer. Beating that fight changed the way I saw everything... my family, my work, my future. I realized that life is too short to get buried in “junk,” whether that’s clutter in your garage or obstacles holding you back in business and leadership. The name Survivor is a reminder of resilience, grit, and second chances, and that’s the spirit I bring into every job we take on.

When you call Survivor Junk Removal, you’re not just hiring someone with a truck. You’re hiring a survivor who knows what it means to fight for every win, who’s committed to helping people clear space, reduce stress, and move forward.

A Proven Leader in the Industry

Before launching Survivor Junk Removal, I spent years as the General Manager of the highest-ranked 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in the world. I learned the ins and outs of operations, customer service, and team leadership, scaling performance to record-breaking levels. That experience gave me the tools to build not just a business, but a system that delivers consistency, excellence, and care.

A Voice Beyond the Truck

My passion for this industry doesn’t stop at my own business. I’m a business coach, mentor, consultant, and trainer, helping other junk removal entrepreneurs across the country grow stronger teams, streamline operations, and deliver experiences that wow their customers.

I’ve also written three leadership books that cut through the noise and focus on what really matters... purpose, grit, and building high-performing teams. Those lessons have reached far beyond junk removal, inspiring leaders across blue-collar and service-based industries.

You’ll also find me on stage as a keynote speaker at national junk removal and leadership conferences or sharing insights as a guest on podcasts across the country. My mission is simple: to raise the bar for this industry.

Making an Impact at Home

While I love sharing knowledge nationwide, my heart is firmly planted here in my West GA. community. Survivor Junk Removal isn’t just about business, it’s about making an impact locally. Whether it’s supporting neighborhood cleanups, helping families reclaim their space, or building a company that provides meaningful opportunities for my team, I believe success is about giving back.

More Than “Just a Guy With a Truck”

Plenty of companies can haul away your junk. But Survivor Junk Removal is different. It’s built on resilience, leadership, customer service excellence, and a passion for community impact.

When you choose Survivor Junk Removal, you’re not just clearing space, you’re working with a company that cares about your experience, your time, and your peace of mind. For me, it’s never been about the junk. It’s about the people.
