All right, everyone!

Lewis Vandervalk here with Blue Crocus Solutions and Integrity Junk Removal.

So I'm the co-owner of Blue Crocus Solutions.

I started it back in 2019, brought on a partner in January of this year, and, together, we started integrity Junk Removal and Demolition in May of 2021.

In this article, I will share some actionable tips on how to start and optimize your junk removal business, or any business for that matter, for success.

I will share the online marketing strategies that work for businesses across many industries and help you make more money from your digital presence using organic strategies.

Since starting in May, we've seen remarkable growth solely through applying organic online strategies. And I'm going to take you on our journey from May through August. We started doing some paid ads and stuff after that, which is why our journey will stop there today.

So today, I'm going to take you on the journey through those months and break down, step-by-step, what we did, and how you can do it too, to make more money.

So hang with me here a while.

We will focus on what we did for local business - Integrity Junk Removal and Demolition. It serves as an excellent case study for what can be achieved by applying the skills and strategies we use to help contractors grow their businesses through their online presence.

From this article, you can expect to learn these 5 actionable SEO tips to ranking your local business higher in the search results and occupying more real estate on the first page of Google.

  1. Easy to implement website optimization tips
  2. Maximize Your Google Business Listing
  3. Leverage YouTube and other digital marketing assets
  4. Use Facebook Groups To Generate Leads
  5. Direct marketing and local outreach hacks to generate leads and grow your business

We got some sides put on the trailer. Here is a picture of our equipment before the branding, and this was the truck here which was actually a rebuilding project Ryan was working on. So we said, "Hey, you know, we'll turn around and use it, save some startup costs."

Unfortunately, it couldn't handle the hauling that we were doing. So we ended up getting a bigger, more powerful truck a month or so after we started.

Now, the website's live, and our Google business listing's live. We've got a truck. And calls and email quotes pouring in from the website and Google to the tune of 80 to a hundred calls or requests. So things are busy and going well.

Below is a picture of the truck, the new truck with our trailer. We have branding on the truck and trailer.

Here's a closer look at the trailer. I think it looks sharp. We've got a little QR code on the trailer that people can quickly scan to book a service. So it just gives people an easy way to get in touch. Sometimes, we'll leave our trailer at the job site to increase brand awareness and visibility.

Well, that's enough of the fun fluff there. I want to get into what we did and how implementing it can affect your business.

Okay. So we’ll get into the nitty-gritty of organic online marketing now, including website development, content marketing, and Google business listing. We'll get into some backlinks and some pretty technical SEO.

But first, let's jump right into website building.

"It's crucial that your website tells Google what you do and where you do it."

1. Website Optimization Tips For Ranking And Lead Generation

So for a website, let's take a look at our website.

We have built out a lot of content on our home page and the entire site, which I'll talk about in more detail in a bit, as far as building some authority for your website, for what you do, and where you do it.

As we scroll down our home page, we see what we do, who our customers are, our customer reviews—all of that good stuff.

Now, if you search junk removal in Fredericton right now, keeping in mind that we're running Google ads for some increased traffic, you'll see our Google business listing and that we've got 41 reviews. They are all five-star reviews. Our website shows up pretty much as number one or two in Google for every search you do.

You know, we've got a lovely site here. It's eye-catching, built to make getting in touch with us easy, and well-populated with many informational pages.

I'm going to talk about how we use our website content to improve our rankings in Google now, so take notes.

Your website content is a critical concept for where your business appears in search results because this is where you build authority with Google. We do a page for every single service that we offer. I do many audits for people in various industries, and one of the things I see is that they have minimal content on their pages, which is hurting them.

Let me explain what happens when someone searches online. It's a bit of basic SEO training. Nothing with SEO is rocket science. It's all reasonably straightforward. You've just got to know what to do, do enough, and do it consistently to be effective.

"What you do and where you do it - WYDAWYDI. It's an acronym that we use a lot around here, at Blue Crocus, and I think we're the only ones that have coined that term."

Everything on your website must tell Google where you work, what you do, and whom you serve. For example, when someone is searching for junk removal in their area, Google pulls from the millions of websites and tries to match up the person searching with a website or a service business that does the service they need. So it's crucial that your website tells Google what you do and where you do it.

To hammer it home, I will refer back to that in everything that I talked about here.

You need to optimize a few things on your website to ensure Google knows exactly what you do and where you do it. You need to optimize your title, tags, and your metadata. If we go to the homepage here, you can see that our favourite types of jobs are junk removal, shed, demolition, construction debris removal, et cetera, and where we do it.

Optimizing Your Metadata For Search

One of the first places Google looks to find out what you do and where you do it is in the title and description of your website - the metadata. Looking at Integrity Junk Removal and Demolition, you can see that we have optimized our title tags with the type of job and our location.

When your site shows up in the search results, you can also see that. You see the words junk removal, shed removal, and construction debris removal for our search result. Below you see a short description. All of that information is the metadata, and it's also vital. So you want your title tag and your metadata to talk about what you do and where you do it.

We have optimized our title tags with the type of job and our location.

When your site shows up in the search results, you can also see that. You see the words junk removal, shed removal, and construction debris removal for our search result. Below you see a short description. All of that information is the metadata, and it's also vital. So you want your title tag and your metadata to talk about what you do and where you do it.

You can see in the screenshot below that we have Fredericton along with the services in the title tags, and then we have Fredericton along with the services here in the metadata.

The next thing Google looks at to find out what you do and where you do it is your title or heading tags, starting with your H1 tags on your website. If we hop over to the site here, this is our H1 tag.

Optimize Your Website With HTags To Improve Ranking

The next thing Google looks at to find out what you do and where you do it is your title or heading tags, starting with your H1 tags on your website. If we hop over to the site here, this is our H1 tag.

We have same-day or next-day quoting and junk removal in Fredericton as H1 tags. So it looks at your website title tag, your metadata, and then it looks at your H1 tags. And then the Google crawlers continue down the page, scanning your content, starting with your H tags for headings, finding out what you do and where you do it. Scanning down our home page, you can see that it’s obvious what we do and that we do it in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Next, we list out the different services we do. Each of these services is hyperlinked to take you to their corresponding service pages. These are what we call inbound links. Okay. So once again, this is telling Google and visitors what we do and where we do it.

It's imperative, which is why we have a page for each of the commercial, demolition, and residential services that we do so it's easy for Google (and users) to find.

For example, we have a page built out specifically around yard waste removal with a YouTube video at the bottom of the page here. We'll get into YouTube marketing and how effective that can be in a bit.

We also have an H1 tag on our contact form. You want your contact form and phone buttons to be visible as soon as you land on the site or page.

If someone jumps on any page, they see our brand, obviously, but they can call us immediately, and they have a quote form where they can enter their contact info, what they need for the job, upload an image, et cetera.

That is vital. You want people to be able to call you right away. You want to make it fast and convenient for them to get in touch with you right away because they've got a need they want to fulfill. They don't want to be searching around to get in touch with you. People aren't lazy necessarily, but we're very conditioned now to have to do the least amount of work possible - the least friction - in terms of the time and effort we have to put in to get to where we're going.

"Having how to connect with you and get what they want front and center and easily accessible will help you convert more people."

Let’s return to website content now.

We talked briefly about all the service pages that we have here. We have some pages that don't show up in the navigation here. So we serve Oromocto, New Maryland. Nackawic, etcetera, and we have pages built out with about a thousand words on each page for each one of those service areas because we want our company and that page to show up when someone's searching in Nackawic. We want that page to show up when someone's searching in Oromocto. So we've dialled in the SEO on those particular pages because everyone talks about your website ranking, but, in reality, it is each page on your website that is ranking.

Typically, people spend the most time and effort ranking the homepage, but you can, and should, rank other pages. It will often be those other pages that target more niche-specific keywords that rank the highest.

For example, our shed teardowns page ranks in the search at one, which is excellent. Now, shed teardowns is a specific page on our website, and when it comes up in the search, you can see our main domain, but it is this sub-page that is being ranked and hitting that number 1 spot.

Let’s shift gears a bit and talk about how backlinks improve your rankings and increase traffic to your business on and offline.

Backlinking To Increase Ranking And Traffic

Backlinks are when someone in a relevant niche or a relevant area links back to your site.

For example, I've reached out to various people in the area that I know and want to help us with backlinks. I ask them to feature our company

on their site. Here is one of the websites that our company has a branded link on - Square Thunder. In their Friends & Partners section, you can see us as Fredericton's best junk removal and demolition company with our logo and a link that sends visitors to our home page.

As a participant and volunteer, I was able to get our company featured as a sponsor on the Fredericton Marathon website, promotional materials, and merchandise. Our logo appears and a link as the “Official Junk Removal of the Fredericton Marathon.”

"Reaching out to people and getting them to feature you on their sites is a powerful hack for getting authority backlinks for your business website to boost your rankings, increase traffic, and generate quality leads."

Strategic backlinking, like this, is how we're building more trust with Google and, as a result, more people trust our company and connect with us when they need our services. We're building trust in the fact that people find us on sites that are clearly in Fredericton and on respected, authority sites like the Fredericton Marathon. And those trusted businesses and websites link back to Integrity Junk Removal, so it must be a trusted website (and business) by extension. And that's a good thing for you and Google.

You want to be building that awareness and that authority with Google.

Another way you can get backlinks is to reach out to your local suppliers or people you partner with and ask, "Hey, can we write a review of your company about the service you provide us and post it on your site with a link to our website?" This method provides that company with social proof, and you get another authority backlink in the process.

You can also write articles or blogs and publish them on authority sites like Medium, have your business listed on your city website, local news and business websites, and so on. These are usually free to publish on and great for link building.

Another free yet excellent way to increase your search ranking is to have your business listed on Google My Business and show up on the map.

2. Google Business Listing Optimization For Ranking And Traffic

A Google business listing is something every business, especially local businesses, should be leveraging. It's completely free. Google looks for it, and it's the first thing people see in the search. If you haven't completed a business listing with Google, you're missing out on money. I assure you that you're not going to make as much money as you could if you list your business with Google My Business.

Using our Google business listing, we haven't even fully optimized it; I'm going to show you how you can take full advantage of it to boost your authority and ranking.

Although our market is not the most challenging to get into, everything I will show you works for any market. From an SEO perspective, we've included quite a bit of content on our listing, and it's doing quite well.

Fill Out Your Google Business Description Fully For Higher Ranking

So the first thing you need to do is make sure that your business description fully and clearly explains what you do and where you do it.

You can see that we talk about junk removal and demolition, Fredericton greater Fredericton area, junk removal, interior, exterior, car and truck hauling, and so forth.

Populate The Questions And Answers Section Of Your Google Business Listing

An easy way to make sure that you have included what Google looks for in your business listing, have friends and family ask questions about your business and answer those questions in your business listing. Alternatively, you can search for each of the services you provide in Google and use the "People also searched for" section as a guide.

Ask friends and family to "ask a question" on your Google business listing about what you do and where you do it, so it shows up in the "Questions and answers" section of your listing. Then answer it.

For example, have someone ask, "Do you take junk cars in Nackawic?" And then answer it.

The "Questions and answers" section of your listing is user-generated content that you must include. Fill it with frequently asked questions about your business and your answers to them. Having those answers easily accessible right from Google saves people time and has them contacting you right from your business listing!

Be sure to include those questions and answers on your website also so that when people search for those services, Google includes your business in the search results.

The following section in your listing is Reviews.

Get And Reply To Google Reviews For Higher Ranking

Reviews are hands-down the most impactful for your ranking, building authority and trust, and getting more customers. When it comes to reviews, get as many as you possibly can. The more 5-star reviews your business has on Google, the higher your position in the search results.

Ideally, every customer you work with should leave a review. So ask them for a review and share the link so they can leave one right away. And don't forget to reply to their reviews. Whether the review is positive or negative, your thoughtful response to their experience is worth its weight in gold. Google offers some great advice and tips for replying to reviews for businesses worth checking out.

As you can see, we've got a good collection of reviews in here and then in your replies to reviews, which is another excellent strategy. When you reply, be sure to include what you did and where you did it for that customer because Google looks for that.

"Reviews are hands-down the most impactful for your ranking, building authority and trust, and getting more customers."

Here are some examples of our replies to our customers.

“Thanks for the great review was a pleasure being able to deliver your new appliance and remove the old one in Fredericton.”

“Thanks, John, for the great review! Glad to see you get your junk removed in a timely and affordable manner in Fredericton! - talking about what we did and where we did it.

Another thing to remember is that the more promptly you can reply to a Google review, the better it looks. Doing so shows you are active on Google, updating your listing, and most importantly, it shows your care about and value your customers and their feedback.

"Reviews are hands-down the most impactful for your ranking, building authority and trust, and getting more customers."

he next thing to populate on your business listing is images and video.

Before you upload the pictures and videos to Google, rename them on your computer so that the file name tells people (and Google) what you did and where you did it.

I know that I am saying this repeatedly, and I will continue to keep saying it because it is crucial to your success when it comes to online marketing.

For example, the picture below could be named mini home junk removal, clean out, or clean out of a mini home in Fredericton to tell Google what we did and where we did it.

Another would be named a bunch of household junk going to the dump in Fredericton.

This was a commercial cleanup job that we did in the mall. So it would be named Regent Mall Commercial Cleanup, right?

Moreover, the file names for the images you post in your Google business listing must tell Google what you did and where you did it. Doing so helps you to rank your Google business listing because you're telling Google, once again, what you did and where you did it. It's vital - WYDAWYDI is your friend here.

We are continuing through your Google business listing. We've talked about Q&A, replies to your customer reviews, your business description, and picture/video optimization. We've seen significant movement with clients when we reply to their reviews, which shows how important it is.

What did we miss here? Oh, products and services.

Include Your Products And Services For Higher Ranking

So our products and services section for our Blue Crocus Solutions listing is not as detailed as it could be. We were trying a few things to see what services we needed to provide in this market, but the products and services section looks like this.

We have this set up but not detailed. We don't use our Google business listing generating leads, but it's valuable social proof.

We also we have a number of Google reviews. Below is an example of product placement or filling it out.

You can add a picture or graphic for each product or service. Then you include up to 5,000 characters, I believe, providing as much detail as possible about that product or service, how you help people, and where.

You see, Google provides all these areas for us to provide content that helps them connect users searching for what you offer with your business for free. Take full advantage of them. Most of your competitors don't have a complete and optimized Google listing for their business, so it's an easy way to get your business in front of your customers and appear in the search results ahead of them.

While your competitors may have a few pictures, renaming them with what you do and where you do it and adding more regularly is something most of your competitors aren't doing. They won't be getting family and friends to ask questions to populate their Questions and Answers section or replying to reviews about what they did and where they did it either. Doing all of this will give you an edge in ranking in the searches and building the authority, trust, and social proof your customers want.

Now you have the tools you need to get your Google business listing populated and generating traffic.

To help you see what having a complete and optimized Google business listing can do for your business, here's a screenshot of how many calls Integrity Junk Removal and Demolition receives as a result of all the optimization strategies I shared with you.

These are the results that we're getting just by doing the SEO work I'm showing you here: getting your website and business featured on other people's websites which gives you backlinks, adding content, optimizing your site. Hence, you are clear to Google and people searching what you do and where you do it.

If you have questions about what I've shown you, shoot me a message. If you want me to look through your site and offer you some tips, I am more than happy to do that. While I can't analyze 50 sites in one week, shoot me a message, and I'll put your website on a list and go through it over the coming weeks.

If it's urgent, or you want to know where your website is at right now and how to get it ranking well quickly, reach out, and I can conduct a quick audit to get you started. A quick audit usually takes about 15 minutes, and I am happy to work out a mutually agreeable fee for that service. I want to give back and help you, but my time and expertise are worth something, right?

So, shoot me a message if you want me to look at your site and show you some things that you can do specifically to your business and location, what your competitors are doing, and what I would do to improve your ranking.

Now, I want to talk about a precious resource and online marketing tool that you can utilize to take up more real estate on the search results which costs you nothing - YouTube.

So if we search for shed teardowns, for example, you're going to see something exciting.

"Google wants to keep people on their platforms, engaging with the content, clicking the ads that generate money for Google and the advertisers, and coming back often. So play in their playground. Do the things that keep people on their platform, and you will be rewarded by appearing higher in the search results."

The first site in the search results is a shed builder, and then our Google business listing appears.

Remember, our business listing is optimized, teardowns and your website is optimized in the services in the back end for shed teardowns. We also have an entire page talking about it. The next thing that appears is our deck demolition page because it is a similar service. And then what do you see? You see a ton of YouTube videos.

So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 spots in the search results are ours. We're taking up five different spots on the search results for shed teardowns from YouTube.

You might not realize that YouTube is the second largest search engine after Google, and Google owns it.

You see, just like you want traffic to your website and people to spend time there, Google wants to keep people on their platforms, engaging with the content, clicking the ads that generate money for Google and the advertisers, and coming back often. They don't want people going over to Facebook. If there's content they can send people to on YouTube that helps them understand what their users need and give it to them, Google's going to do that first.

So play in their playground. Do the things that keep people on their platform, and you will be rewarded by appearing higher in the search results. It's a win-win that doesn't cost you anything but a bit of time.

Okay. So how did we do this? How do we take up so much real estate taken with shed teardowns?

Remember, shed teardowns is a sub-page on our website, and this is why having a page for every product or service is crucial. We also have a YouTube video for each of those services. So when you search for shed teardowns on Google, our page appears, but the thing that catches your eye is the YouTube videos. Our video is in the three best-rated videos for shed teardowns on YouTube, which is why it appears in the search results. The videos jump out in the search results, and people are more likely to click them than go to a website. I know I do.

So now, let's go over to YouTube and look at what we've done to get our video ranking well so you can do it too.

3. Leverage YouTube and other digital marketing assets to occupy a lot of real estate in the search results

Although we are a digital agency with expertise in SEO, we didn't do anything fancy. You don't have to be a web designer, SEO guru, graphic designer, or anything crazy like that. We use a simple program called Animoto to create our videos using stock images and images from the junk removal and demolition jobs.

Ryan would have done this video on shed teardowns. He quickly shot this video on his phone and used an app to do time-lapse videos. It's not a complicated process, I assure you.

You can easily set this up and shoot time-lapse videos about your products or services. On our Integrity Junk Removal and Demolition channel, you can see that we have many different types of videos. However, I want to show you the optimization of the videos because that's where the magic lies.

We've used our YouTube strategy for multiple clients to help them take up more real estate in the search results.

If you have questions about YouTube optimization, let me know. I will do a video specifically on how you can use YouTube to drive traffic to your site. So keep an eye out for that.

To show you quickly how we optimized our videos on YouTube, let's take a look at this video here. You can see that it's just a slide show. But you can see from the title that it's optimized for Fredericton. The title and description tell viewers about the service the video showcases, what we do, and where we do it.

Another thing we include in the description, and you can too, are links to your website, your Facebook page, your Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google business listing, podcast, and more. Essentially, you build backlinks from your YouTube content (an authoritative source) to your other content. Thus, you build authority and cohesiveness for your brand across all your platforms, which Google looks for and loves.

Therefore, if you're not using YouTube, start using YouTube. Put out a video a week or do a Live. It's a potent and effective way to talk about what you do and where you do it because people love videos, so Google does too.

Once you have uploaded your video on YouTube and optimized it, embed those videos on your website (at the bottom of the page is best) for backlinking to YouTube. When you visit our website, you see that we've embedded these YouTube videos on the bottom of any relevant pages. For example, we have our video on shed teardowns at the bottom of our shed teardown service page.

Having our digital assets all connected through links makes us more visible, makes it easy for Google, and presents us as a cohesive brand across all our marketing channels. People can go to Google, our website, our social media channels, or they can go over to YouTube.

I cannot stress this enough. Don't sleep on YouTube. Take advantage of it and see what optimized content on YouTube that links to your other assets does for generating traffic and leads for your business. If you have questions about leveraging YouTube for your business or want help setting up your branded channel for success, reach out any time.

Optimize Your YouTube Channel For Higher Ranking

Let me show you how we set up our channel to optimize it for search.

We have our logo, branded, and professional-looking channel art. Our about section tells viewers what we do, where we do it, and links back to your website. We've included our website link, Facebook link, Instagram, and other social links in the link section and enabled YouTube to show up to 5 of our links on our channel page and videos.

Each video has an optimized title that includes keywords and our location. Tags are included on the back end.

If you're looking for ways to research keywords on YouTube, Tube Buddy is a free tool that you can use to help you. A paid version allows for more keywords and other data analytics, but the free version works well. Tube Buddy allows you to look at what other people's videos are ranking for and what tags (keywords) they use, which help you optimize your videos to get views. You then include those tags in your tags and the description to ensure it gets picked up by YouTube when people search for what you do and where you do it.

Let's recap.

In terms of increasing traffic to your business, we've gone through website optimization, the Google business listing, and we've gone through YouTube.

Those are our three pillars for digital marketing strategy:

  • Website Optimization
  • Google Business Listing Optimization
  • YouTube Optimization

Other Channels To Improve Your Ranking And Generate Traffic

Pinterest and Vimeo For Lead Generation And Ranking

Additionally, we use Pinterest. I won't discuss optimizing your Pinterest today, but it is also a powerful, visually appealing marketing tool worth considering. One thing nice about Pinterest is that you don't have to create any new content. You can post the images you have already posted on your website and on social media and link right to where they are on those channels. Post all the videos you upload or create on YouTube on Pinterest and link them back to either the web page they appear on or your YouTube channel for more backlinks.

The same can be said for Vimeo. They need to be optimized a little differently, but the basics are the same - make sure they explain what you do and where you do it.

"Sharing your content across all those channels results in your business taking up a large portion of the first search results page on Google with your YouTube videos, Vimeo videos, and Pinterest references."

4. Facebook Groups For Lead Generation And Ranking

Another strategy that we've used is posting our most popular Integrity Junk Facebook post of the week on Facebook groups on a day and time each week the people are most active. We post daily on our Integrity Junk Removal and Demolition page. The post that performs best is posted on Fridays at 5 pm into three or four local buy and sell groups that we joined. And we get jobs from that.

I post to these groups on Fridays at 5 pm because I've found that most people are active in the groups at that time. I've tested a lot of different times that you can launch an ad on Facebook Marketplace, and Friday at five, in your time zone, seems to be the best time.

Marketplace Posting For Lead Generation

You can also post an ad for a service or product you offer on other marketplaces. You are probably familiar with Craigslist. We use Kijiji for the most part up here, in Canada, but it's the same idea. You're going to get hits off of that post.

Word-Of-Mouth For Lead Generation

One of the most overlooked but most effective strategies is word-of-mouth. Don't be afraid to talk about your business with your neighbours, friends, and family. Invite them to like your page or subscribe to your channel. They may not know you started a company page or a business.

5. Direct marketing and local outreach hacks to generate leads and grow your business

Never underestimate the power of direct marketing.

That was a lesson I learned when we started Integrity Junk Removal and Demolition.

I was so busy starting the business, focusing on our online presence, that I neglected the most accessible market in the world - my friends, family, complementary businesses, and neighbours. Nothing was more humbling and awakening than seeing other junk removal companies coming into my street for the neighbours because no one knew I had a junk removal business.

"Never underestimate the power of direct marketing."

Email Marketing For Lead Generation

And so I was like, all right, I gotta tell the neighbours. People don't know what you're doing until you tell them. So we began direct marketing our friends, neighbours, family. We brainstormed markets that would require junk removal services that we could reach out to, and real estate agencies immediately sprang to mind. Being a local service business, direct marketing adjacent local businesses and previous customers is something we leverage and get exceptional results. I pulled a list of emails for all the realtors in Fredericton and did an email blast. I do the same blast when we offer a new service, have a promotion, or want to share a community event in which we are involved.

If you would like me to pull a list of realtors in your area, I can do that. We have a tool that we use to pull email addresses. For the first five people that reach out, I'll pull a list of all the realtors in your area, and then you can have all their email addresses. I'll even give you an email script that you can copy or revise if you want.

When you email realtors, introduce yourself, your company, and what you do. We print branded door hangers that we ask realtors to hang or hang with their permission on the homes they are selling. So in our case, we send them a short email saying something like this: "Hey, we're looking to connect with you. If you guys have any projects or clients who need help, we are happy to help. We have door hangers that we can hang to let homeowners know about our services if you don't mind."

TIP: Many realtors will want to be featured on your door hangers, and they'll pay for the whole thing. Realtors are willing to spend money on marketing because it's well worth the investment.

Additionally, we are getting flyers printed to be included in the packets that realtors give their clients. We want to be included as their junk removal partner.

Email Marketing For Lead Generation

We also hold gift card giveaways.

I emailed and contacted local restaurants and got giveaway gift cards. We launch these giveaways on Facebook. To win, people have to like our page, share the post, tag their friends, and all of that fun stuff. Not only does this raise awareness and generate new customers for the restaurants, but it also increases engagement on our page and generates business for us.

As you can see, we are hitting our marketing from all angles on and offline. It's a lot to take in, so if there is something that I discussed here that you would like me to delve into in more detail, let me know, and I will make another video about it.

To summarize, the main aspects of local SEO we covered here were your website, Google business listing, and YouTube. If you optimize and populate those fully, you will get substantial business from them.

And remember, I am here to help. I am happy to offer quick tips, do a quick audit of your website, Google listing, YouTube Channel, Facebook page, Pinterest, Vimeo, and so on. I'll even help you set up your assets for success. 😉👍

Of course, we'd love to work with you, but that's not the point of this. I want to see everyone out there crushing it online and off and getting as much information as you can from someone who's done it and has been in the trenches right there with you.

Okay. So, we talked about website optimization, maximizing your Google business listing, and YouTube. We touched on Facebook, Pinterest, Vimeo marketplaces, and direct marketing. Implement everything I discussed, and you will improve your ranking online and generate leads for your business.

If you need a website, give us a shout. If you need Google ads, give us a shout. We brought a Google Ads guru on board and run ads for our clients.

We recently started running Google ads for Integrity Junk Removal and Demolition, and we're getting a ridiculous cost per click and conversion rate. We got three hot leads the first day, and it only cost us $2

If you are looking for someone to run and manage PPC ads for your business, or you need software to manage your leads, give us a shout.

That is why I'm doing this. It fires me up doing this stuff. I love sharing the knowledge I've gathered over the years, working with contractors, and getting training.

So I want to see some action takers. I want to see YOU put this into practice.

I appreciate all of you. I appreciate you sticking around if you've made it to the end. Please, don't hesitate to reach out if you need some help along the way.

Contractors who claim their business on search engines are more likely to be found and contacted by people in need of their services than those that do not. According to recent surveys , 46% of all Google searches feature a local intent and 88% of customers will call or visit a business within 24-hours of making a search from a mobile device. So it stands to reason that contractors are leaving local business and growth on the table if they haven’t claimed their business on search engines.

A business’ brand is their most important asset. It is what connects you with your customers and is used to identify your business. How your local contracting business looks, sounds, and acts directly impacts how you’re perceived and received by current and prospective customers. For this reason, maintaining a uniform voice and message in all your content and interactions is key. In the same way local contractors and service providers must present an unchanging persona, what is shared, how much, and when also needs to be consistent. Your audience will come to expect you to provide them with particular kinds of posts during prime times for them.
